What is a sustainable swap?
A sustainable swap is a product made with materials without components suspected to harm human health, usually with natural fibres, rather than man-made.
Sustainable materials can include:
- Natural fibres (such as wool or cotton)
- Wood (such as beechwood or bamboo)
Sustainable materials are biodegradable, and won’t be polluting our planet for centuries to come once we’re done using the item they're made with.
Did you know? Making a sustainable swap also means using up what you have before making the switch to more sustainable options. It might seem counter-intuitive, but using up what you have before buying more is a greener option, as it prevents overconsumption!
